Bilitis (1977) This was David’s first movie and is the one best-known by the public. Starring Patti d’Arbanville and David’s first wife Mona Kristensen, it is the story of a schoolgirl who gives away the first man she has ever loved...to the first woman she ever loved. Beautiful music by Francis Lai.

Laura (1979) David’s second movie is your webmaster’s personal favorite because of the beautiful visuals and the music. Starring Dawn Dunlap, Maud Adams, James Mitchell, it is the story of a young girl who helps in the crafting of her own statue. Music by Patrick Juvet

Tender Cousins (1980) An admittedly weak script is rescued by some very pretty visuals. Carryings-on in a busy household. Starring Anja Schüte, one of David’s favorite models, whom he met on the legendary German resort island of Sylt.

A Summer in Saint Tropez (1983). Not really a memorable movie, if we’re being honest. No dialog, just Hamilton models enjoying themselves in David’s stamping ground, St Tropez.

First Desires (1984) Also no dialog. Young girls on an adventure in a small boat and on the remote beach where they end up.

Souvenirs (1974) • Cloth-bound portfolio, introductory booklet and 67
loose leaves. On each leaf is a single image with a line of poetry. One actual photographic print, with David Hamilton’s original signature.

Filles Fleurs (1979) • Booklet and 10 loose leaves.

Les Ombres de l’Ete (1979) • Booklet and 12 poster prints.

Le Galet Blanc (1980) • An eight-page introduction and 12 large color print portfolio of the girls on page 45 of Private Collection.
